Successful London businessman, William Darcy is normally the type of guy who never does anything without a clearly defined plan. This is the premise of Amy George‘s upcoming new release, The Sweetest Ruin, due out in just a few days. This is her second book published by Meryton Press. This modern adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice drops these beloved characters into a situation where they must lean on each other to find their way. It might seem a departure from the usual story canon, but Ms. George maintains the essence of the personalities that Austen created in spite of the unusual circumstances in this low angst romance.

Oh yes! The more I read about this book, the more I want to read it. I especially love stories where Darcy and Elizabeth get married early and work together against outside problems, and this sounds perfect. I checked Amazon earlier but no sign yet so I will keep looking.
