Elizabeth Bennet lives an uneventful life training young equestrians at Longbourn, the family farm, while dreaming of competing on Liddy, her spirited mare. Things change dramatically when a team of renowned riders arrive at Netherfield, the neighbouring farm, and use it as their training headquarters. There she meets the arrogant William Darcy, a rich, talented young rider with Olympic aspirations. Wavering between hate and admiration, Elizabeth witnesses firsthand the trials and vicissitudes of a world for the elite and changes her perspective about love, trust, and her own family.

Originally known as Obstacles to Overcome, Obstacles follows the Pride and Prejudice plotline in the highly competitive world of horse jumping. The story accompanies the characters in their journey of growth and self-discovery with some original twists.
