An emotion flitted through his eyes before they dropped to her lips. Elizabeth felt a heated spell being woven in the room. As his head lowered towards hers, she stopped breathing and subconsciously parted her lips. But then he seemed to collect himself and took an abrupt backwards step. When she regarded him again, his expression had shuttered. Her cheeks flamed as she looked away and tried to collect herself.
