Dutiful, occasionally dim but always kind and earnest
My Darcy is a gentleman to hold onto (quite firmly). Whether I’m reading Pride & Prejudice or writing variations on it, my Darcy remains a blurry image, with dark, wavy hair, deep-set eyes, and a disarmingly serious face. He is best defined by the man who really brought Darcy home to me in 1995. (But with a sharper jawline and a much damper shirt. I do have some imagination.)
