Coming Soon - Hot Off the Meryton Press

Love at First Slight by J. Marie Croft.

In this humorous, topsy-turvy Pride & Prejudice variation, all the gender roles are reversed. William Bennet's opinion of Elizabeth Darcy was fixed when she slighted him at the Meryton Assembly. As her ardour grows, so does his disdain; and when she fully expects to receive an offer of marriage, he gives her something else entirely!

Nashville Notes: Report from the Southern Festival of Books

by Karen M Cox

Those of you who follow Meryton Press on facebook or regularly browse the website here have seen the posts and the photos.

And the verdict is in...Meryton Press LOVES Nashville!

Two of our authors, Cynthia Hensley and yours truly (Karen) attended the festival along with publisher Michele Reed, earlier this month.

The weather was beautiful - very warm and sunny, except for the last few minutes on Sunday afternoon. We met so many great readers of romance and historical fiction!

Meryton Press is known for cover art that captures readers' attention, and we had several comments on how the beautiful covers invite people to peek inside the books.

Janet Taylor's 'Darcy-ware' - including calendars, mugs, mouse pads and compacts - also drew many a lady's eye. There were plenty of sheepish grins, and tugging on friends' elbows while exclaiming, "Mr. Darcy! Wouldn't so-and-so love that?"

As always, though, the main enjoyment for us authors was 'talking story' with readers of all ages and backgrounds, and sharing our love of romance and historical fiction in general, and our love of Jane Austen's novels in particular. If you were in the area and stopped by to chat with us, take a look at our books, or enter the fabulous giveaway - Thank You!

We hope to see you next year!
